We are currently looking for a EPSSG Ground Segment Network and System Engineer to support our customer in Germany. EPSSG Ground Segment Network and System Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities Our customer is a European organisation providing weather and climaterelated satellite data, images and products for its users. You will have the following responsibilities Support to Ground Segment requirements engineering analysis, validation, allocation and maintenance Assist the definition of the ground segment interfaces Define EPSSG GS Network requirements Support the Ground Segment design architecture definition, including analyses, tradeoffs and compilation of technical budgets Establish the overall EPSSG GS Network Design Identify areas of risk and contributing to any related trade off studies or prototyping activities Support to Ground segment reviews Requirements Review and Preliminary Design Review Participate in reviews and meetings at system, ground segment and facility level. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree or equivalent in engineering Experience in preparation of system requirements and design documentation Knowledge of Cisco network and security equipment and architectures Knowledge of high availability network architectures and protocols e.g. HSRP, VSS Familiarity with network management, QoS and traffic shaping principles Familiarity with satellite communications DVB, VSAT, Point to Point links Experience in the definition, integration and verification of space related ground segments would be an asset Experience in systemlevel analyses from an endtoend perspective Knowledge of ECSS standards is an advantage Fluency in English is mandatory.
