RHEA the fastest growing leading Belgian SME providing system engineering solutions and professional engineering services to the international space industry is recruiting experienced Engineers from the Satellite Industry for a full time position based in the area of Darmstadt. Description This Statement of Work is covering a Spacecraft Operations Engineer position to work as part of the Sentinel5 Precursor Flight Control Team. The position is for supporting the SOM during the prelaunch. LEOP and commissioning phases in the Preparation of the operational products, in particular the Operational DB and the Flight Operations Procedures and timelines SVT preparation and execution Mission Control System Validation Simulator Validation Training and Simulations LEOP, Commissioning and Routine phase preparation and execution The Sentinel5 Precursor team being of a reduced size, the SOE is expected to be flexible enough to take tasks for different subsystems. In particular the selected candidate must be able to take care of the Power, Thermal and SBand subsystem operations preparation, and help in the production of the procedures and SVT test cases for other subsystems. In addition to the tasks on Sentinel5 Precursor, assistance for other missions in preparation by the division could be required by the SOM for the same type of activities. In particular, due to the commonality between the Sentinel5 Precursor and the SEOSATIngenio satellites, and the similar schedule, the assigned person will be requested to support as well the preparation activities for that mission. The execution of the work on SEOSATIngenio might require periods at the Routine Phase Control Centre, located in Madrid. This is expected to be the case for some of the SVTs, and during part of the commissioning phase. A close collaboration with the Routine Phase ground segment contractor and operator will also be required. Profile Applicants should have a university degree in engineering or physics, with good knowledge of spacecraft subsystems. Some professional experience in the space field, in particular in operations is highly desirable.
