We are currently looking for a GMES Spacecraft Operations Engineer to support our customer in Germany. GMES Spacecraft Operations Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will have the following responsibilities Preparation of the operational products, in particular the Operational DB and the Flight Operations Procedures and timelines SVT preparation and execution Mission Control System Validation Simulator Validation Training and Simulations LEOP, Commissioning and Routine phase preparation and execution Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in engineering or physics combined with a good knowledge of spacecraft subsystems Professional experience in the satellite systems especially Power, Thermal and TTC Knowledge of spacecraft operations preparation, SVT, LEOP and commissioning Mission Control Systems e.g. SCOS ECSS engineering standards for space system engineering and operations Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. This job is located in Darmstadt. We are looking for candidates who are available from January 2014 or as soon as possible thereafter.
