One of our space clients based in Belgium is seeking a Key Account Manager. This is a permanent position, beginning around January 2017. Your function As Key Account Manager, your role will be To identify and develop potential projects and convert them into firm orders. To develop and maintain a sales network to support sales in several target segments. To manage the relationship with existing customers and to identify and secure new accounts. To represent and promote the company through direct contacts, trade shows, etc. To lead the preparation of commercial proposals and contract negotiations with those accounts. To help solving commercial and contractual issues during project execution by interfacing with customers at the right level. To proactively identify new projects and business opportunities with accounts under your responsibility. To support the project managers in their relationship with customers past contract signature. To contribute to the strategic sales plan and to the sales strategy towards those customers. Your profile Master degree in Engineering or Physics, ideally complemented by a degree in Business or Marketing. At least 10 years of successful experience in B2B sales of technological projects. Proven track record in driving the sales process from plan to close. Experience in the space market e.g. Earth Observation, scientific payloads or in the field of professional astronomy would be a strong asset. Outstanding interpersonal communication skills with customers and partners. Analytical as well as tactical mind. Focused on meeting targets and solving problems. Strong influencing and negotiation skills. Collaborative working style, team player. Fluent in English, also to communicate with colleagues in French. Computer literacy MS Office.
