Investing in you to support the development of the European space industry. This is HE Space. We are currently looking for a Mechanical Development Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the Dynamics and Testing department, you will have the following responsibilities Perform dynamic analyses as well as stability and strength verifications of composite and metallic structures Establish Finite Element Models FEM for dynamic as well as static analyses using tools such as Ansa, Patran, or Hypermesh and appropriate preprocessing methodologies Perform nonlinear dynamics calculations as well as coupled analysis fluidstructure interaction Contribute to the verification and mechanical justification structural integrity Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team and in a transnational organisation. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience Masters Degree or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline Several years of experience in the field of Engineering Min 2 years of experience in aerospace Experience in the mechanical analysis and sizing of primary and secondary structures Experience in structural verification Programming and software automatization experience desirable Experience working with CAE tools NastranPatran, Abaqus or Permas Experience on one or multiple of the following computer languages MATLAB, Python, Fortran, Visual Basic highly desirable Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of the German language is an advantage.
