Multipath railroad crossing to be altered

In April, the Highlands County Commission voted to construction agreement revision between CSX Transportation and the Highlands County that would add two pedestrian safety gates where the College Drive/Memorial Drive Multi-Use Path sidewalk crosses the railroad tracks. Since then, CSX has and the county have been working to find a way to alleviate the dangerous section, said Julian Deleon, Avon Park city manager.
