Supporting both standard and high pole count commutation, Class 6 SmartMotors deliver fully closed-loop PID control. PID rate is fixed at 62.5 µs with 64 K user program memory and large Cam point memory space for cam tables to >3K points. In addition to dual port Ethernet, SmartMotors include RS-485 half duplex communications port and USB interface for programming, configuration, and live diagnostics. Units provide full floating-point math and trigonometric functions with 32-bit precision results.
