To reinforce our team in Darmstadt, we are looking for candidates to fill the post of a Spacecraft Operations Engineer Power Subsystem mf Ref 17150 Your task The candidate will work as Spacecraft Operations Engineer for the EarthCARE mission. The primary responsibility includes the PowerThermalRF. Responsibilities may include activities for additional subsystems andor test, validation and operation of the Mission Control System, Mission Planning System and Simulator. The general activities depending on the phase of the mission include Study of Project specific Characteristics and Ground Segment Documentation Preparation of Functional Requirements for the Project dedicated Flight Control Software Participation in the Analysis and Design of Satellite Operations Review and Assessment of Satellite documentation and support to the Space Segment development Preparation of Functional Requirements for the Project dedicated Flight Control Ground Facilities Preparation of Flight Control and Contingency Procedures Mission Management and Mission Planning Support Service Production of Project specific Software Validation and Satellite Interface Validation Test SVT Procedures, Reports and Participation in SVTs Participation in the System Operations Validation Test SOV, Training and Simulation Programmes Participation in Launch and Early Orbit Phase LEOP and Mission Critical Operations General Flight Control Support Service Spacecraft Performance Analysis Your skills Spacecraft subsystem knowledge Power, thermal, RF, including software Experience in activities applicable to spacecraft operations Fluency in English, both speech and writing Coordination with other service providers in operations team player Interaction with other service providers in operations and other fields e.g. payload ground segment providers Familiarity with operational simulators, especially the ones based on SimSat Familiarity with satellite control systems, in particular SCOS2000 Desirable skills Familiarity with the ESOC environment Familiarity with ground station control processes and setup Familiarity with prelaunch development, integration and testing of ground and space segments Some experience dealing with external interfaces, e.g. Project, Industry, PDGS, nonEuropean mission partners Familiarity with low Earth orbit satellites Familiarity with MOIS Familiarity with Ground station scheduling processes We offer Demanding and interesting projects in an international environment Integration to a team of highly motivated professionals High degree of flexibility and possibilities to develop your career For any questions please contact Pablo Beltrami 49 06151.87056.0
