A new opportunity has arisen for a Spacecraft Operations Engineer to support the Sentinel project. The primary area of responsibility is to support the Sentinel5P SOM in the preparation, implementation and execution of the LEOP and Commissioning phases, mainly in the areas of platform subsystems and Mission Planning, but extended to other areas as required. Typical tasks and responsibilities will include Support the SOM in the validation of the FOP in the volumes indicated by the SOM Support the SOM in FOS integration and tests Review of satellite documents LEOP and Commissioning operations support as required Applicants will require Adequate experience in spacecraft Flight Operations knowledge, including FDIR, in particular for the platform and overall view of the Spacecraft systems engineering Adequate experience with Packet Utilisation Standard Adequate experience in working in an operational environment Adequate experience with flight procedures life cycle, including validation Basic experience with anomaly investigations Ability to understand and accurately predict behavior of complex systems Experience with low Earth orbit satellites operations, including experience in preparatory phase OPSPREP, special operations LEOP, Deorbiting campaign and preoperational phase Commissioning specially within the Sentinels missions Ability to work independently and with little supervision Wellorganised, able to prioritise and manage several activities in parallel Capable of coordinate and interact with other service providers in operations and other fields. Some experience with operational simulators, ideally SimSat Some experience with satellite control systems, ideally SCOS2000 Some knowledge of Earth Observations missions, in particular with Copernicus Sentinels Adequate experience using TMTC databases, preferably SCOS2000 compatible spacecraft subsystem knowledge and good knowledge of Data Handling and TTC subsystems. Ground Segment knowledge and good knowledge of OBSM is required. Applicants will need good operational experience, along with a familiarity with SCOS2000, operational simulators and experience with prelaunch activities, launch campaigns and with MOIS tools. All candidates should have a University degree in a relevant discipline and be fluent in English in spoken and written form.
