ACS is looking for a person to provide System Engineering Consultancy Support ACS has more than 30 years experience in delivering solutions for Earth Observation satellites Ground Segments. Based in Rome, Italy and in Darmstadt, Germany, we delivered systems currently in operation in 20 countries worldwide and have a long record of successful projects carried out for ESA, EUMETSAT, EMSA and many other Space Agencies and Research Centres. ACS recently established German subsidiary ACSD aims at better serving our customers based in Darmstadt area. The Key person will perform system engineering activities such as Justification of the system design including producing and maintaining any relevant analyses and budgets General support to system engineering activities, for example o Documentation of system design and interfaces o Support to the technical coordination with Partners o Support to segment level activities and reviews as required Participate to System level formal reviews. Mandatory skills University degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline relevant to the job profile Experience and capability to fulfil the assigned tasks with a minimum of supervision At least 5 years demonstrated experience in the field of large scale systems engineering and architectural design Demonstrated ability to analyse systems from an endtoend perspective Capability to prepare design documents, to perform systemlevel analyses and to produce and maintain technical budgets. A high degree of autonomy and good analytical skills, sound interpersonal skills to conduct the responsibilities autonomously and with a minimum level of supervision, exhibiting good oral and written communications skills, analytical capabilities, and motivation. Able to work effectively in English and have knowledge of the French. Knowledge and experience with the following is considered an advantage Experience in earth observation satellitebased projects, particularly in the areas of near real time data processing or spacecraft control systems Experience with Model Based System Engineering with the support of dedicated tools e.g. CORE Space and ground system engineering processes and standards. Additionally EU national or valid work permit for Germany CV in Europass editable format
