VHDL FPGA Engineer Job Description The Digital Department is looking for engineers to design FPGAs for spacecraft electronics. Knowledge of VHDL and associated design tools is essential. Candidates must have experience in design, RTL coding, synthesis, verification and related documentation. Requirements Knowledge of Synplify, Modelsim, Xilinx Vivado and Actel Designer Knowledge of UnixLinux environment and script languages CShell, Tcl Knowledge of automated verification techniques for test benches Desired complementary background Knowledge of space radiation effects on electronic components Knowledge of AMBA, CANBus, cPCI and 1553 busses Minimal qualifications Electrical Engineering EE or equivalent Bachelors degree Five 5 years or more of experience designing FPGAs or ASICs Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work well in a team
