611 ABNT20 KNHC 281137 TWOAT Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 800 AM EDT Fri Sep 28 2018 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Kirk, located over the eastern Caribbean Sea. Post-Tropical Cyclone Leslie is located over the central Atlantic Ocean, several hundred miles west of the Azores. Shower activity has gradually increased near the center of the cyclone since last night and Leslie is expected to once again become a subtropical storm later today or tomorrow. Earlier satellite data indicated that the powerful low is producing storm-force winds that extend several hundred miles from the center, and Leslie will likely continue producing strong winds and high seas over a large portion of the central Atlantic for the next few days regardless of when it completes its transition to a subtropical storm. 096 ABNT20 KNHC 280525 TWOAT Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 200 AM EDT Fri Sep 28 2018 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Kirk, moving into the eastern Caribbean Sea. Post-Tropical Cyclone Leslie, is located over the central Atlantic Ocean several hundred miles west of the Azores. Satellite derived winds indicate that the powerful non-tropical low is producing storm-force winds that extend several hundred miles from the surface circulation center. Although, associated shower activity remains rather limited, Leslie is still expected to again become a subtropical storm, or possibly a tropical storm, Friday or Saturday while it moves west-southwestward at about 10 mph over the north-central Atlantic. Post-Tropical Cyclone Leslie, located over the central Atlantic Ocean several hundred miles west of the Azores, remains a powerful non-tropical low with storm-force winds. The associated shower activity has gradually become better organized around the low's center since yesterday, and Leslie is expected to again become a subtropical storm, or possibly a tropical storm, on Friday while it moves west-southwestward at about 10 mph over the north-central Atlantic. Post-Tropical Cyclone Leslie, located over the central Atlantic Ocean several hundred miles west of the Azores, remains a powerful non-tropical low with storm-force winds. The associated shower activity is gradually becoming better organized, and Leslie is expected to again become a subtropical storm, or possibly a tropical storm, tonight or Friday while it moves west-southwestward at about 10 mph over the north-central Atlantic.
