Client and Location For one of our Clients, we are currently recruiting for a Network Operations Management Airspace Simulation System Engineer for their location in Maastricht, the Netherlands. Tasks and Responsibilities The candidate will be required to support the Directorate Network Management DNM Simulator Real Time Simulation SIM RTS Project. Inside our Clients Directorate Network Management DNM, the Airspace Simulation section is in charge of the preparation and execution of airspace simulations in support of the validation of new airspace organisations, procedures, processes and operational concepts. The major customers for such validation services are the European Air Navigation Service Providers ANSPs and the upcoming Functional Airspace Block projects, such as FAB Europe Central, Danube FAB and FAB Central Europe. The realtime simulations, as a means to collect data supporting the overall validation process, are conducted according to the principles and guide lines of the European Operational Concept Validation Methodology EOCVM. The domains that the Network Operations Management Airspace Simulation Engineer will cover are multiple in particular tasks are expected to include the following activities To improve the Real Time Simulation capabilities by improving the preparation and analysis phases reduce time improve quality flexibility To manage the realtime simulation platform, in coordination with our Clients Simulation Technical Coordinator STC. The simulation platform will be used to validate the new airspace designs for national Air Navigation Service Providers ANSP Concerns the technical management of the platform, ensured by the Simulation Technical Coordinator STC this includes the data base, simulator component, exercise runs, configurations, human machine interface configuration Project Management he or she is able to organise hisher own tasks and jobs. It shall be used by our Client as guidance to plan the different Validation activities. It is important that the progress meeting and report do not just cover the actual progress, but also topics, which are or might cause risks to the progress of the project Fully responsible for the proper execution of the work packages and the drafting of the deliverables, the candidate will be integrated in the project team of the respective simulation Work in close relationship with our Clients validation and human factors team leader in order to guarantee a coherent and uniform execution of the overall simulations work programme. The S6JCS GS is a complex system of systems and comprises all the elements that will be used to carry out mission operations and payload data acquisition, processing, dissemination and archival, as well as all the supporting infrastructure, sites and functionality to carry out the full operations, such as monitoring, communications and other services. The scope of this position is to perform integration and verification IV of the EUMETSAT S6JCS GS components and to contribute to their validation. The complete S6JCS GS will be built up progressively in several tranches with four tranche test campaigns for the S6JCS GS currently planned. Integration is performed on a pairwise approach with the interfaces between each pair of components being implemented and verified. Verification is based on a multilevel, multistage approach, with verification of requirements.
