Mandatory Master or PhD student in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or similar Familiarity with software engineering and software architecture Familiarity with working in a Linux Environment Familiarity with modern software architecture and frameworks Experience with common programming languages e.g. Java, C Fluency in English written spoken Desired Experience in common software lifecycles and agile development processes Experience in continuous integration tools Knowledge of modern approaches to secure software engineering automation big data storage, processing, and analysis modelbased software engineering Passion about space

Software Product Assurance Manager for Galileo

Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Support the definition and implementation of PA and QA activities based on the tailoring of the applicable requirements and the related European Cooperation on Space Standardisation ECSS and Galileo software standards Produce Assurance ECSSQST10 Quality Assurance ECSSQST20 Software product assurance GSWS Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of an effective product assurance programme by coordinating the GSA internal processes and maintaining the related interfaces with ESA and industry. Coordinate the PA team, including several GSA contractors Oversee the maintenance of quality data records and PA critical items lists Participate in reviewsboardstechnical meetings Contribute to the definition of an effective nonconformance control system operating across all Galileo sites, and support the documentation, followup and closure of anomaly reports and nonconformance reports Support inhouse and supplier audits related to PA and QA activities Support the implementation of personnel training and certification related to PA and QA Contribute to the definition of metrology and calibration requirements Contribute towards the definition and followup of Dependability analysis Failure modes, effects and criticality analysis Fault tree analysis Common mode and common cause analysis Maintainability analysis Availability analysis Safety analysis Contribute to the definition and followup of software product assurance Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory At least 5 years project experience in a minimum of 2 projects in space programmes. The following skills would be highly desirable At least 5 years of subcontractor management experience. At least 2 years of technical experience with defining key performance indicators and requirements for satellite operations. At least 2 years of technical experience in the field of space and ground segment development programmes gained by direct involvement in such programmes satellite navigation, including Space Based Augmentation Systems and geostationary satellites spacetoground interfaces andor At least 2 years of technical experience in system integration, space and ground segment procurement and operations gained through direct involvement in at least two separate space projects. At least 4 years of technical experience in GNSS user segment developments andor standardisation activities. At least 2 years of technical experience of configuration and documentation management.
