A vacancy for a System Engineer fm Navigation Galileo Service Analyses has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Munich Ottobrunn. The successful applicant will join Future Navigation Systems Programmes. Airbus Defence Space is highly involved in system support activities for ESA, for the implementation, verification, and exploitation of the European satellite navigation system Galileo. In this project context, your main activities as System Engineer will be to Determine system state probabilities analysis of the availability of system elements Support system simulation, performance evaluation and verification Support measurement campaigns and routine monitoring with feedback to design Ensure the routine monitoring of performance parameters and drivers Define and implement software Perform troubleshooting and anomaly investigations, as well as procedure definitions for data evaluation Support system evolution studies The position will be based in Munich, but will require travelling within Europe. The candidate should be willing to be colocated on ESTEC premises. This position is a part of Advanced Technology group, a research organization focusing on research in key areas of aerospace industry such as Air Traffic Management Communication, Navigation, Surveillance Control Systems Embedded Systems Crew Interface and Avionics. Responsibilities will include most of the following Technical contribution to international collaborative projects in the area of GNSS Contribution to the architecture development of a multiconstellation multifrequency GNSS receiver Design and verification of algorithms for satellite navigation systems Development, validation, and implementation of different GNSS receiver integrity monitoring concepts Work with other Satellite Navigation team members to support implementation, debugging, and verification of the algorithms on the target platform Requirements Masters or Doctorate Degree in Electrical Engineering with emphasis on satellite navigation or radio communications other engineering degrees such as Computer Science are acceptable provided the candidate has a relevant background. Fluent English Experience with ONE OR MORE areas Proven academic or professional experience with the satellite navigation receiver technology Basic knowledge of the concepts for maintaining the system integrity in satellite navigation Experience with digital signal processing algorithm development Experience with RealTime Operating Systems RTOS for real time embedded processing applications is a plus Experience with MatlabSimulink

A vacancy has arisen for a GNSS Navigation Systems Engineer with Airbus Defence and Space in Portsmouth work within the Earth Observation, Navigation and Science directorate. The role involves working across multiple projects on the architecture and the design of GNSS localization navigation systems. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include a Requirements analysis, b Derivation of system specifications using DOORS, c System and signal simulation in Matlab, d System architecture modeling preferably using Rhapsody, e System and interface design. This role will involve some travel for business and as such you must be able to travel accordingly.
