Radio Navigation signals and signal processing. The work includes study, design, analysis and testing of signal and signal processing techniques including toolsequipment development and procurement. It encompasses signal structure, modulations, data dissemination, techniques for error correction, synchronisation, multipath mitigation and estimation, interference mitigation, cancellation, encryption, authentication, etc. Radio Navigation Laboratory equipments. The work includes definition procurement design, testing, usage of Radio Navigation equipment in support to Radio Navigation experiments and test campaigns. Specific Tasks The work includes design, analysis and testing of radio navigation systems, with emphasis on system architecture and performance and on radio navigation receivers. The principal tasks and responsibilities will include Participation in studies on radio navigation receivers design and techniques, in particular for Galileo Support to the Galileo project in the followon of industrial contracts for test and system receivers Support to the Galileo project for system performance evaluation Software hardware simulations and laboratory testing. Profile University degree MSc minimum or equivalent in telecommunications and signal processing as well as experience in these fields. Specific knowledge of radio navigation systems architecture and key performance parameters of GNSS. Experience in receiver design and testing. Detailed knowledge of Rx algorithm at User Level. Demonstrated experience in several of the following fields would be an advantage orbital mechanics space geodesy advanced estimation techniques software engineering and security including related standards development of mission critical software systems software configuration management. A practical experience of Unix or Linux workstations and personal computers and related software is expected. Candidates should have good interpersonal skills and proven ability to convey technical matters clearly orally and in writing, to manage complex technical tasks frame contracts for necessary support by industrial staff are in place and demonstrated experience to work effectively with other highly qualified team members in a multiproject international environment. The working languages of the Agency are English and French. A good knowledge of one of these two languages is required together with a working knowledge of the other language.
