We are looking for a Flight Dynamics Operations Engineer to be based at our clients site ESOC in Darmstadt, Germany. You will be working in the area of Orbit Determination for Earth Observation Missions but you may be required to assume the responsibility and perform activities for additional service, missions and activities within the scope of general Flight Dynamics operations engineering. within the Earth Observation Missions but with the possibility of supporting other service andor missions. You will be primarily working on the routine operations of Earth Explorers Aeolus, Cryosat and Swarm, but you may also be asked to work on other Earth Explorers in preparation phase such as Biomass and FLEX and other Earth orbiting missions. Your tasks will be depending on the subsystem and phase of the mission Orbit Determination, Prediction and Products Generation Execution of and support to operational tasks Processing of tracking data Determination and prediction of spacecraft orbital state Generation of orbit related products such as orbit event predictions Flight Dynamics Application Layer Maintenance of elements of the Flight Dynamics Application Layer Flight Dynamics System Development Specification of modifications, enhancements and additions to existing software elements Implementation of modifications, enhancements and additions to existing software elements Installation of modifications, enhancements and additions to existing software elements on operational platforms design, coordination and implementation of tests Participation in tests Setup procedures Flight Dynamics SubSystem configuration Coordination of internal and external interfaces and activities across subsystems This position also includes an element of on call working.
