Sanford gets grant to study native infant deaths

Sanford Health in Sioux Falls will use a $1.7 million grant from the National Institutes of Health to study ways of reducing infant deaths in American Indian communities. The project led by researchers Amy Elliott and Jyoti Angal received a five-year award under the agency's Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health & Human Development.
