Overview Support the Telecom TTC Systems Techn Section TECEST on the following specific tasks Satellite modem physical and link layer analysis, design, prototyping and testing. SATCOM Systems and network analysis and simulations. Support the preparation of the section RD technology roadmaps in the area of telecom systems and networks. Support the section telecom lab activities. Specific qualification requirements University degree MSc. in Engineering with educational background in Telecommunicationengineering. Strong technical background in telecommunication engineering and knowledge of the relevant communication protocols. Knowledge of the main satellite and wireless terrestrial telecom standards. Experience with communication system HW prototyping and testing e.g. FPGA, DSP, GPU, microprocessors. Broad technical expertise in telecommunication networks design with particular emphasis on physical and link layer, and good understanding of multiple access telecommunication protocols. Strong knowledge and experience in the simulation of complex telecom links at physical and MAC layers. Fluent in the English language spoken and written. Knowledge of another European language is an asset. NOTE For candidates with less than 10 years experience, we need to provide the relevant academic transcriptsto ESA in order to give a more complete candidate profile at the selection stage. Legal and Security Requirements All applicants must be legally allowed to work in The Netherlands Applicants are required to provide a copy of their passport and degree certificate. Aurora will validate the Degree with the issuing University and provide evidence to ESA. Location The work will be performed at the European Space Technology and Research Centre ESTEC at Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Contract The selected candidate will receive good remuneration in line withESA Job Class. Will be registered for both social security and tax in the Netherlands. The standard working hours are 40 per week. There are 12 public holidays and an additional 30 annual days holiday. Communication Payload System Engineer

Our client requires a selfmotivated individual to provide expert support with regards to all aspects of satellite communications payload engineering. The incumbent will support the development, inorbit testing and validation of a new communication space segment concept in order to deliver high quality communications capabilities. The incumbent will be part of the system engineering team during the design and integration phase, as well as will be in charge of the inorbit testing and commissioning of the payload including writing procedures, and executing the tests.
