EE launches low-cost Rook 4G smartphone

(Telecompaper) EE has launched the new Rook 4G smartphone for PAYG users, costing GBP 39 for EE customers and GBP 49 for new EE customers. It is available to buy from 07 July from EE stores, EE telesales and the EE online store. The Rook uses Android 5.1 Lollipop and has a 5-megapixel camera, 4-inch high-resolution FWVGA display screen, 8GB internal memory and 64-bit MediaTek 1GHz quad-core processor. As well as prepaid, the Rook is also available to EE corporate customers. Customers who purchase a Rook handset can also benefit from up to a 20 percent discount on select EE accessories.
