Your Job Technicalpeople manager responsible for all Ground Operations activities and processes at the Manassas WMP teleport and the Manassas Ridge as required in the future. Your Responsibilities Setup and configuration of satellite communication systems TTC and service support systems for the SES fleet and thirdparty spacecraft as required Management and maintenance of the Manassas WMP ground assets also Manassas Ridge supportas required Support of satellite missions including Launch and Early Orbit Phase LEOP, Beginning of Life BOL operations and spacecraft relocationdrift missions Manage and lead the ManassasWMP Ground Operations team Provide exemplary leadership and energize the team to attain the goals of SES and its various business units Leadcontribute to projects for the execution of strategic growth opportunities in the interest of the various SES Business Units Liaise at project level with all relevant internal departments, in particular Ground Systems Engineering and affiliates to ensure consistency in the implementation interface with the technical liaison functions of each business unit Effectively allocate resources and capital to support the tasks and projects Provide fast, timely resolution of problems and communicate effectively to customers and to the entire SES organization Establish common policies and procedures for the operation of the teleport and interfaces with the different control rooms e.g. SOC, PMOC, NOC, and SMC Measure process performance and teleport system performance against contracted Service Level Agreements SLAs Monitor department expenses against allocated budget and determine where synergies exist. Recommend and drive the implementation of such synergies. Recruit talent to support the goals of the organization Oversight and management of the Manassas WMP warehouse and office space Your Profile At least ten years of satellite communication technical experience At least ten years of earth station experience At least 2 years of technical supervisory experience as a positive, effective leader 2year technical degree diploma or equivalent combination of experience education Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to work in a culturally diverse organization Ability to identify and effectively implement change and solve problems Strong people management skills including team building, tasks delegation and staff coachingsupervision Fluency in written and oral English. Main responsibilities We are currently looking for a TransitionProject Manager for ESTRACK, to work in Sercos operations at our customer site ESOC, Darmstadt, Germany. The role will be offered as 6 months fixedterm contract. The position is related to the Network Operations Centre NOC Services at ESOC, for which Serco will nominate a temporary position to oversee the implementation of all reorganisation of the service into its new operating structure. The ESTRACK Transition Manager is the main point of contact and the responsible party for managing change of the services Serco provides, while minimizing costs and associated risk factors. The Transition Manager will be aligned upon contract award, and will remain in position until the agreed level of operational resilience has been achieved, and the Agency has approved business as usual status for the contract, but not longer than 12 months. As the implications and considerations for the planned transition may be complex and affect multiple areas of the business, the Transition Manager shall chair regular review meetings and on demand create presentations, which includes handouts, notes, examples and research materials, to illustrate the point. As part of a multiheaded transition team the ESTRACK Transition Manager is responsible for the following Review, update and maintain the transition plan and other associated plans for the project. Manage delivery of the project and work with the contract management team to ensure sufficient resources for the project. Ideal candidate The successful candidate should bring Competent user of Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio. Strong experience as a project manager. Preferably PMP or Prince2 certifiedexperienced. Extensive Change Management experience. Experience leading service transitions in an outsourcing environment. Moderation skills ability to deal with detractors and difficult staff facing job lossjob change. Excellent communication skills ability to talk to staff and top management.
