Segment Market Manager Fixed Data United States Reston, Virginia Your Job The Segment Market Manager SMM Fixed Data will be part of a team forming and executing the strategy for, and developing and positioning SES Networks products, services and solutions into the Fixed Data market segment, including SES Telco, MNO, and other Fixed Endpoint customer base. The role requires translating segment insights and customer requirements into industry leading solutions and commercial strategies for satellite enabled MobileCellular networking, IP Trunking, Enterprise, and Consumer Broadband applications. Your Responsibilities As a part of the larger Fixed Data SMM team, the role involves the following activities Analysing and communicating deep insights for the Fixed Data Segment as relates to satellite enabled MobileCellular networking, IP Trunking, Enterprise, IoT, and Consumer Broadband applications Developing and maintaining the Segment Strategy including GoToMarket approach, PartnersChannels, Pricing Strategy, and EndtoEnd Solution Packaging Identifying and recommending priority markets for SES, including customer segments and solutions, geographies, and addressable markets Assessing future technology evolution for the Fixed Data Segment e.g. Satellite Segment evolution, plus higher order capabilities such as Enterprise ITOT trends, Cloud Infrastructure and Services, IoT, LTE5G evolutions, etc. Curating and launching impactful solutions for the Fixed Data Segment including the generation of Business Cases, Market Requirement Documents, Solution Descriptions, FleetAsset Utilization strategies, CommercialPricing Structures, and Customer facing collateral roadmaps, feature descriptions, value propositions. Designing and orchestrating sales enablement campaigns Collateral, training, roadshows, etc. Defining and tracking KPIs for segment success, typically measured by sales, revenues, PL, and RoI on required investments. Interfacing with a crossfunctional set of internalexternal functions including Product Management, Engineering, Commercial Management, Asset Management, Suppliers, Partners, and Sales and Marketing in support of the Fixed Data Segment strategy and business Serving as a public voice for SES for developing market presence for the Fixed Data Segment, which could include evangelizing in customer and industry fora as well as supporting media and analyst events Other duties as assigned by the Line Manager, in support of the Business Your Competencies Solution Design skills, blending the application of technology with professional services, partnering arrangements, and commercial frameworks to define impactful solutions Business Development skills, able to balance near term performance against longterm strategy Problem solving and decision making, having the capacity to analyse complex and diverse problems, evaluate options, balance risk with opportunity, and recommend effective solutions that will have a significant contribution to business success Business case creation to include topdown and bottoms up revenue projections, investment requirements, PL analysis, RoI profiling, competitive analysis, and SWOT analysisrisk mitigation Knowledge and skills across some or all of the following areas Satellite networking, EthernetIP networking, Cloud Infrastructure and Services, plus MobileCellular networks including LTE5G, Enterprise ITOT, and IoT. Strong presentation skills possessing the ability to produce and present content in an inspiring manner to a variety of internal and external audiences Leading by example in organizational ethics and morals, taking strong action against nonadherence to the SES Way of Working, ethics and codes Intercultural awareness, working across a global enterprise with awareness and sensitivity to global cultural variations Your Qualifications At least 10 years experience in the TelecomSatComISP industry in one or more of the following areas Business Development, Solution Design, Solution Engineering, Sales Engineering, RD Engineering, Network EngineeringOperations, ProductPortfolio Management Proven track record of successful product definition and launches oriented to TelcoMNO or ISP customers Demonstrated public profile for industry events, media, andor analyst engagements Experience in a multinational organization, covering strategic, technical, commercial and marketing aspects Bachelors Degree or equivalent in either Engineering with focus on NetworkingIT, or Marketing with focus on Business Development Fluency in English.
