Vacancies for Galileo Ground and Mission Operations Engineers mf have arisen within Airbus Defence Space in MunichTaufkirchen. The successful applicant will join Galileo Operations Bid. Please note that the work location will be either the Galileo Control Centres in Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany or in Fucino, Italy. In this role you will be part of the Galileo Ground Engineering Team reporting to Airbus GSOps Operations Manager OM. You will perform technical tasks and duties on the elements of the Galileo Ground Control and Mission Segments as required in order to maintain high availability of the signals broadcast by the Galileo satellites. Furthermore you will represent Airbus GSOp in meetings with the representatives of the GSA supporting deployment and operation of Galileo Control System, Mission System and Network elements at the GCCs and other sites. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include Planning and executing Ground and Mission Segment routine operations activities. Supporting system satellite contingency operations as required Supporting the introduction into service of modifications and upgrades to Ground and Mission Segment elements ranging from minor software patches to largescale system upgrades Analysing and reporting on Ground Segment performance, including longterm trend evaluations Performing anomaly investigation, tracking and followup activities Collaborating with the Engineering Support Team for ground segment corrections or improvements Maintaining the relevant procedures of the Ground Operations Plan and Mission Operations Plan Supporting regular oncall service Interfacing with other internal and external teams We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience Educated to degree level in Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent Extensive experience in Ground Segment Operations preparationengineering Experience in Galileo Operations or Engineering would be an advantage Good knowledge of MS Office Good interpersonal and communication skills Negotiation skills of English German andor Italian skills would be an advantage Please apply online for this vacancy at our careers site www.jobs.airbusgroup.com with your CV attached. Data Centre Test and Products Operations Engineer 1613050 Job Description We are looking for a Test and Products Operations Engineer for our client EUMETSAT. You shall support the Data Centre Operations team and your main tasks will include Provision of support to the daily monitoring and first line support of the Data Centre, and analysis and reporting of operational anomalies. Provision of support to the user queries received by the user service helpdesk regarding Data Centre services. Support to the development of Data Centre tools for monitoring and reporting. Provision of support to prototyping concepts for evolving the Data Centre services to support current and future EUMETSAT programmes. Provision of support to the test automation of the Data Centre evolutions. Provision of support to the development of new formats for the Archive data. Provision of support to metadata content and their specification in the new formats. Preparation and maintenance of Data Centre documentation such as operational procedures and service guides for users. Preparation of material to support the usage of Data Centre services. Required Skills and Experience A university degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering science discipline Possess skills and experience in the following mandatory areas minimum 3 years for each Working in an operations environment supporting the analysis of system and user support issues. Good knowledge of the testing and test automation for a complex hardware and software system. Experience of working with Earth Observation data formats, their visualisation and processing. Programming experience in Java language, UNIX environment, scripting in Shell and Perl. Technical knowledge for specification, validation and transformation using XMLXSDXLT and their associated tools. Experience in using SQL to access relational databases such as Oracle. Experience of handling and manipulating binary data. Desirable Skills and Experience Experience in the development of the product formats, ideally netCDF and HDF. Good knowledge of standards, conventions and guidelines for the specification of metadata for Earth Observation data, for example Climate and Forecast Conventions. Experience with Meteorological data formats such as McIDAS, GeoTiff, BUFR and GRIB. Experience with using Data Access tools such as IDV, MATLAB, IDL and THREDDS. Knowledge of the SubVersion source code control systems. Knowledge of Software Development Environments such as the Eclipse. Knowledge of the QFS Test automation software. A vacancy for a Supply Operations Manager SOM for Propulsion equipments has arisen within Airbus Defence Space in Stevenage. You will be the primary interface with the nominated suppliers and responsible for the relationship between the supplier and Airbus DS. You will be fully responsible for managing the purchasing phase of the supply chain core process and deliver equipments, software or test services to projects on time, to cost and fulfilling all performance and quality requirements. The successful candidate will be subject to UK National Security Clearance in order to undertake related work in accordance with business needs. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include I Procurement Phase Support the procurement phase Phase B of the supply process preparation of Invitation To Tender ITT packages, supplier proposal evaluation, supplier negotiation and selection for different projects. II Purchasing Phase Drive OQ OT OC delivery from suppliers by effective daytoday management of subcontract typically multiproject, international contracts timely and accurate reporting to PSMs facilitate appropriate technical interaction between project MSC and supplier. Coordinate the interfaces of all the stakeholders involved in the supplier management process procurement, technical, quality EEE parts material processes, commercial contract. Responsibility for driving the EQSR, PDR, CDR, MRR, TRR, TRBSRB DRB process equipment category dependent. Management of NCRs and RFWD and chairing of NRBs. Coordinate specialist quality interfaces for MIPs, EEE, radiation and MP. Monitor the progress of the supplier and agree corrective action as necessary in close liaison with the project engineering, product assurance, contracts and project office. Acquiring indepth knowledge of supplier leading to more effective control. Identify in close liaison with the project team and the supplier appropriate risks covering technical, schedule and commercial aspects. Ensure implementation of mitigation actions by the supplier. Ensure fulfilment of export control regulations such as ITAR. Maintain metrics related to the execution of the contract schedule, quality, cost. III General Completion of annual supplier evaluation with appropriate support. Local followupsupport to development plans defined by SDM. We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience HNDDegree in a MechanicalElectroMechanical Engineering related discipline. Proven experience in a Supply Chain Procurement environment within the Aerospace industry. Proven backgroundexperience in Propulsion. Proven experienced as Subcontract Manager or Project Manager. Strong leadership, facilitation and organisational skills. Focused on results OT OQ OC Delivery to a high standard. Strong communication, commercial negotiation skills. Relationship builder pulling through added value from supplier. Understanding of Quality Management and Product Assurance.
