Spacecraft Operations Manager

RHEA is currently recruiting a Spacecraft Operations Manager to support the Galileo LEOPs at our clients premises in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities The Spacecraft Operations Manager SOM is responsible for the definition, implementation and execution of all mission operations activities. He will be assigned to one or more GALILEO LEOP Soyuz launch andor Ariane 5 launch either as lead SOM or as a deputy SOM. The scope of work will include Requirements definition for operational facilities and software, operations preparation, generation and validation of Flight Operation Procedures, LEOP operations timeline, operational databases, displays and onboard software maintenance tool and procedures Directly involved in the operational decision making in the event that spacecraft anomalies occur Very close cooperations with the GALILEO LEOP Service Manager, with the other ESOC and CNES SOM and the GALILEO Flight Operations Directors Strong interactions and interfacing with flight dynamics, mission data system, ground station and simulations teams Close cooperation with GCCD GALILEO Control Centre responsible for the GALILEO constellation operations to which the spacecraft are handed over after the completion of the LEOP Frequent interactions and interfacing with the GALILEO Project Office GPO team and SC Prime Contractor OHB team Responsible for execution of spacecraft operations, onboard software maintenance, inorbit mission evaluations and preparation and execution of System Compatibility Test Campaign SCTC activities Assessment of spacecraft and or mission changes and of their impact on the operational organisation and or products, implementation and validation of such changes In charge of ensuring operational readiness of the Flight Control Team shift Spacecraft Operations Engineers and Spacecraft Controllers under its leadership and responsible for timely provision of the inputs required relevant to the SOM service for the GALILEO LEOP reviews Operational Validation Readiness Review, Operations Readiness Review. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory University degree in engineering or equivalent diploma At least 10 years of experience in spacecraft design, system engineering, and spacecraft operations operations preparations and operations execution Experience in team leadership motivation, trainingcoaching, stress management, negotiation, etc Experience dealing with external interfaces Experience with flight operations procedures development using MOIS Experience using a SCOS 2000 based mission control system Ability to coordinate and interact with other service providers in operations and other fields Ability to multitask efficiently, working on multiple activities and multiple subsystems Strong Ground Segment knowledge at system level Familiarity with operational simulators, especially the ones based on SimSat In depth knowledge of ESA PUS standard Fluent English level both spoken and written. The following skills would be highly desirable Knowledge of GALILEO spacecraft IOV or FOC will be an asset Familiarity with medium Earth orbit satellites Fluent in French will be an advantage. The meeting is scheduled Oct. 24 at the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality headquarters building commission room in North Little Rock.

Spacecraft Operations Engineer for Sentinel3 1412089 Job Description For our customer ESA, we are looking for a Spacecrafts Operations Engineer to work in the Sentinel3 mission.
