Job description For our customer, the European Space Agency ESA, we are seeking an experienced Configuration Manager to work at ESAs ESTEC site in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Responsibilities You will be assigned to ESAESTECs Project Control Management Support Office for the Explorers Programme within the Directorate of Earth Observation Programmes DEOP. The Earth Explorers Programme within the Earth Observation Directorate is looking to recruit an experienced Configuration and Documentation Management CADM Officer. You will work across the Earth Explorer Programme and also be assigned to work on specific Projects. Initially the split will be between FLEX, FORUM, Biomass, TRUTHS and future Earth Explorer Missions. This split will change with time and project needs. You will report hierarchically to the Head of the Earth Explorer Project Control and Management Support Office and functionally to the relevant project managers. You will liaise on a daily basis with the relevant Product Assurance Managers, Project Controllers and the EOP Quality Management System responsible. Responsibilitiesspecific tasks Acting as the focal Configuration and Documentation management expert within Earth Explorers Programme to support the definition and maintenance of the project Configuration Management Processes and tools, and to promote standardisation. Contribute to the establishment and maintenance of the project CADM plans and monitor that CM performances are met together with the Product Assurance Managers and Project Controllers. Act as secretary to Configuration Control Boards CCBs for the disposition of Request for Waiver RFWs, Request for Deviation RFDsand configuration change requests proposals. Prepare the meeting and follow up disposition of amendments to the contract. Registration and distribution to relevant reviewers, of Change Requests, Contract Change Notices, Requests for DeviationWaivers. Support the control of the evolution of the Project Baseline Requirements and the provision of traceability of the changes. Support the settingup and monitoring of operations and maintenance of the Project Data Management System DMS within the Eclipse software Suite for management, storage and control of ESA Unclassified with Limited Distribution e.g. ITAREAR Docs and Classified Information. Assist in the preparation of project audits. Support configuration audits and configuration inspections. Perform Data collection, extraction from different Corporate applications e.g. PRISMA, Eclipse, and from various internal sources and data consistency checking and coherence analysis. Support the project documentalists in retrieving documents from local DMS, DMSs from external partners andor industry. Train staff and contractors on Eclipse and other DMS tools. Liaise with industrial partners CADM officers and documentalists for exchanging data and resolving documentation and configuration related issues. Qualifications Competencies The successful candidate shall have A Masters Degree in Engineering or Configuration Management. At least 4 years of previous working experience in a similar configuration management role. Proficient in MS Office packages. Desirable Knowledge of ESA Configuration and Documentation Management standards ECSS is an advantage. Knowledge of ESA administrative and documentation management tools is a definite advantage. Experience with ESA and Earth Observation projects in fields such as Product Assurance, System Engineering andor Project Control is an advantage. ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The Sr. Manager, Fixed Data SMM is a member of a team defining and executing the portfolio and GoToMarket strategies for SES Networks satelliteenabled products and managed services targeted at the Fixed Data market segment, which includes Telco, MNO, Service Provider, and Enterprise customers. This role will be instrumental in SES mission of closing the digital divide for the globally 4B unconnected and underconnected broadband users, as well as bringing broadband and cloud connectivity to remote and underserved enterprises. The role will be highly outcome focused, with measures of success including market impact, revenue and profitability, and customer adoption of MobileCellular networking, Wholesale IPEthernet Trunking, Enterprise, Cloud, and Consumer Broadband products and services.
