The main tasks envisaged are the Flight Dynamics support for the Operations Preparation of EPS SG during the detailed design Phase in 20162018 timeframe followed by the development implementation and validation phase 2018 onwards, including The detailed definition of Flight Dynamics operations concepts in the context of the EPSSG programme, contributing to the higher level programme operations documentation as relevant i.e. Reference Operations Plan and to the generation of operational procedures, Guides and operational configuration data Flight Dynamics databases and operational configuration data as required In the execution of previous task, take into account the current operational concepts and planned evolutions, in particular for relevant multimission andor reused elements Further coordinate the definition and implementation of Flight Dynamics Operations and Operational Interfaces with spacecraft, mission control, ground stations, dataproduct processing and system operations preparation teams, including launcher and LEOP services implementation and definition of handover conditions Support the review of documentation delivered by the satellite manufacturer as well as ground segment contractors, for Flight Dynamics operational aspects, including critical analysis of proposed designs, implementations and validation approaches and results, along with the necessary operational concepts envisaged Support ground segment development team through Flight Dynamics Subsystem acceptance and verification, as well as higher level system integration and validation testing, including the support to the definition of operational scenario validation testing Conduct where necessary mission analyses and preparation of Technical Notes to verify current operational approaches along with proposed contractors solutions Support the definition and conduct of Satellite System Validation Tests, and in particular for Flight Dynamics aspects e.g. manoeuvres Crosssupport and familiarization as necessary with current EUMETSAT Flight Dynamics operations of LEO satellites, including routine operations, planning and execution and evaluation of orbital manoeuvres, support to contingency operations, preparation and maintenance of relevant guides and procedures, operational configuration maintenance, and preparation of routine reports these activities may require intervention during the night and the nonworking days. PROFILE In addition to having a University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, the key person shall have at least 5 years of experience on Flight Dynamics, with at least 2 of them with LEO satellites. The key person shall also demonstrate the following minimum mandatory skills Acquainted with the mathematical and physical principles of orbit determination and control for a LEO satellite Experience with Flight Dynamics orbit operations of a LEO satellite Experience with Flight Dynamics subsystem and operations development for a LEO satellite Experience working in Linuxbased systems Proven experience in formal operational validation of complex software systems, including formal documentation production, configuration control practices. In addition, it would be a distinct advantage for the key person to have knowledge andor experience with some of the following Experience with software development and operations of Flight Dynamics systems based on the ESAESOC NAPEOS Navigation Package for Earth Observation Satellites Knowledge of Unix scripting and knowledge of FORTRAN90, JAVA, Python, TCL, andor Matlab, and in particular for engineeringscientific applications Experience with software development and maintenance of systems based on Orekit space dynamics library Familiarity with space debris environment at LEO regimes and related conjunction analysis systems Knowledge of attitude determination and control for space systems and related AOCS onboard systems The official languages of EUMETSAT are English and French. Technical Operations Support Coordinator CGIexperience the commitment Category Information Technology City Paris, Ain, France Position ID J08161017 Employment Type Full Time Position Description The Galileo Security Facility GSF forms part of the Galileo PRS Public Regulated Service and will be operated from Saint GermainenLaye GSMC1, just outside Paris and from the NATS in Swanick, Hampshire GSMC2. The Primary centre will be the French Site with UK site at Swanick as the backup site. We require an onsite Technical Operations Support Coordinator for the GSMC Galileo Security Monitoring Centre client site in SaintGermainenLaye Office in Paris. You will report to the CGI onsite Operations Support Manager and will be required to work with GSMC users and operators to support them as they bring the GSMC into operational use and how they manage and support the CGI systems as part of their day to day operations. This is a key and strategic role, the GSF system in the GSMC is a highly secure and technically comprehensive system so it can deliver its required PRS capability. To do this the system must be managed and maintained and operated correctly, and this role is designed to give the users the necessary support, direction and understanding for them to do so and operate the system effectively and efficiently. The role will require handling of classified material, therefore you should ensure that you are familiar with the appropriate procedures for handling classified material at the GSMC site and that you follow these procedures. The role onsite at the GSMC is 5 days per week. You need to be already Security Cleared and an a UKEU resident. Some on call service outside working hours may also be required for time to time. Responsibilities will include Provide operational procedure support and instruction to users and operators of the system. Provide training support and instruction. Pre training will be provided on the GSF system and deployed test tools at the CGI offices in Leatherhead before deployment to the GSMC site. Work with the GSA and other agencies to ensure the overall site operation of the GSMC is maintained and supported. Support the management of site spares and asset management control, particularly for security devices. Work with the various security teams to ensure correct implementation of transportation and delivery of secure items. Support change and fault observation review boards Assist with fault and issues investigation and work with the support teams in LHD to identify and where possible resolve issues. Supporting the onsite teams, ensuring clearances and access etc and being a key point of contact. Raise any significant site issues including any safety issues with the CGI Operations Support Manager. Ensure you manage and work to the defined GSMC Operations Manuals and Maintenance procedures defined for the system. Also work with the team s in LHD to further develop and enhance these procedures with experience and input from users. Support and assist in the management of system upgrades of software andor hardware. Support and manage the installation of critical security patches. Develop an understanding of the GSMC systems, and become the key technical CGI system expert. Interaction with Others. You should liaise regularly with the members of the GSF project team in Leatherhead UK and Toulouse FR. In particular, you should help to ensure that we work together as a coordinated team and that we are all kept aware of events or client activities that affect the project and its activities. Some occasional travel to these offices will be required. Work with the Thales France and CGI GSMC representatives to ensure we have a coordinated and joined up approach to activities and issues occurring on the site. Work with ESA and the GSA to conduct multisite testing and interface proving.
