Google to invest another EUR 1 billion in Dutch data centres

(Telecompaper) Google has announced an investment of another EUR 1 billion in its data centres in the Netherlands. This includes another expansion of its existing site at Eemshaven in the north of the country, on top of the plans already announced in 2018, and a new data centre being built at the Agriport in the city of Hollands Kroon. This brings the company to a total investment of EUR 2.5 billion in the Netherlands since 2016.

(Telecompaper) The mediasector made a further recovery from previous losses. The Telecompaper Stock Index Global Consumer Media ended week 25 up 1.5 percent, ahead of the S&P 500 (+0.5%). McClatchy made the biggest recovery, up 18 percent for the week. Other winners included Salem Media and Stingray, both up 13 percent. Lions Gate was the biggest loser, down 13 percent. KKR, in accordance with earlier rumours, placed an offer for Axel Springer (+11%).
