Senior Earth Observation Consultant J 2603 Summary A senior technical member of staff, recognised as an expert in their field and providing significant support in winning business. Objective Telespazio Vega intends to expand its commitment to developing EO data driven applications and services to be applied both in the commercial domain such as oil alternative energy and in governmentalscientific areas such as climate change scientific exploitation platforms. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate an expert technical knowledge of at least one area of EO data analysis. Due to the close relationship between Telespazio Vega and our parent company, there is an expectation that exploitation of SAR data will be a significant but not sole driver in the activity. The candidate will be able to construct teams for and lead bids aimed at providing eitherboth themed EO scientific exploitation platforms andor commercial EO services. Recognised leadership in one of these fields would be a distinct advantage. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic senior self starter to work in close support with our sales team, prepare proposals, startup and execute projectsstudies and contribute to new and ongoing EO related services. This will include managing and working on the EO related projects. The candidate may be required to travel within Europe and must be willing and able to liaise with clients and subcontractors when needed. Responsibilities Duties The holder of this post will report to the System Engineer of the SGEO Project. Heshe will take his responsibilities as AIV engineer at OHB, Bremen, Germany following the core platform integration and verification activities followed by the Spacecraft integration and verification, which will also include the environment test activities at IABG, Munich, Germany, through to the launch campaign in CSG late 2014 TBC. Extended periods at the integrator site as well as support during the launch campaign are expected.
