A Spanish leader company in Aerospace Engineering and Scientific services with more than 45 years of experience working for NASA and 35 years working for ESA seeks a candidate for postion of Assistant ProgrammeProject Controller the following tasks and requirements are applicable Specific Tasks Secretarial Support Efficiently and proactively deal with all communications phone, email, post. Use the ESAs Mission Approval System to manage business travel for the ECSAT FM team. Partially cover for other ECSAT Administrative Assistants in case of their absence on a mutual support schema. Finance Prepare in ESAP Shopping Carts, Purchase Orders and Financial Reports relevant to the Site operation functions. Liaise directly and independently with the Procurement Office and follow up all relevant activities. Maintain a local file of all financial documents invoices etc.. Maintain the ECSAT finance database MSexcel file. Facility Management Act as interface to the Harwell Campus FM team for what concerns office maintenance. Manage registration on arrival and departure of ECSAT employees. Manage outgoing and incoming post and courier. Build and maintain positive relationships with local business contacts. Human Resources Maintain information files for the ECSAT Staff ESA and Contractors. Use the ESA HRMS system for recording leaves for the ECSAT FM team. Liaise with the HR office at ESTEC. Coordinate support for staff relocating from other ESA establishments. Health, Safety and Security Act as main interface with STFC Health Safety and Occupational Health teams. Be one of the First Aider and Building Warden for ECSAT. The work conditions include the following Working hours are MonFri 08301700, with a pause of 30 minutes for lunch. Working days are the ECSAT working days not necessarily coinciding with UK working days the list of ECSAT official holidays are provided at the end of each year for the following year. The Contractor could be requested to work outside working hours from time to time at the request of ESA, occasionally at short less than two days notice or exceptionally two or three times per year without prior notification. Requirements University degree Bachelor from a recognised Institution of secondary studies or equivalent qualification in Business Administration or Communications as relevant, with typically 4 years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will be confident and professional in all dealings with ECSAT staff and visitors, be proactive, highly flexible, customer focussed with a personable nature and an eye for detail. The candidate will also consider all information acquired during the execution of the job as confidential, and will not disclose it to third parties without the prior written authorisation of ESA. The working language is English. Knowledge of other ESA languages, especially French, is desirable. Proficiency in the use of Windowsbased personal computers and of the MSOffice software package is required. Experience as user of SAP and in particular ECC and SRM modules and familiarity with relevant ESA corporate applications e.g. ESAp is an asset. Ability to rapidly understand and adapt to ESA specific context and environment including ESA corporate IT applications. Past experience with ESA in relevant activities is an asset. Contributing to the elaboration, consolidation of related procurement workplans and detailed implementation plans e.g. Contract Action Plan baseline and related commitment consumption, cost and disbursement profiles. Ensuring that above plans are properly inserted in the appropriate management tools. Followingup of the progress of the procurement actions and contracts, and keeping track of status and maintaining the current actual and forecasting in the appropriate ESA tools. Creating related objects in ESAp, maintaining corresponding information in local applications as required and ensuring the correctness and coherence of related information. Monitoring and controlling of timely implementation of actions related to procurement and contractual matters, including monitoring of financial commitments, payment milestones and invoicing. Supporting industrial invoicing process and payment verification and control. In the field of programme industrial return Initiation and coordination of the periodic updating of relevant Industrial Return data base to reflect the current commitments status and the industrial policy forecast for planned activities.Verification of coherence with ESA corporate Industrial Return data. Maintenance of list of specific compensation or improvement measures and followup the implementation. Verification of coherence of proposed procurement actions with the planned industrial return policy targets of the programmeproject, including the compensation measures. Support to programmeproject level risk management. Maintaining up to date the related data, performing data analysis, identifying deviations w.r.t. planstargets and production of associated reports to the responsible management and to the concerned customers when relevant. Operation of the associated management information tools and system databases. Support to the responsible entity in the definition of new and improvement of existing processes and tools and production of related documents.KPIs, and preparing periodic overview publications. Spacecraft and Ground Segment Controller

Thorn SDS is a seeking experienced Spacecraft and Ground Segment Controllers to support in the prospective development of an operational capability in Darmstadt Germany. We are planning to establish a core team of 68 individuals that have to be available for client interview late December 2014. The service commences in 2016 for a 5year commitment. The Controller Team will primarily be responsible for operating the MSG and the MTG systems. Typical tasks and responsibilities will include To monitor and control all operational progress on a 247 basis, in accordance with the scheduled operations plan in accordance with the established procedures. To perform first line reporting and analysis ground and space segment anomalies in accordance with established procedures. To coordinate the daytoday scheduled and contingency operations in the control centre and support the process of mission planning schedule consolidation and generation. To assist in the production of printouts, graphs and plots for offline evaluation and analysis. To maintain and control the UMARF via a remote terminal in accordance with established procedures during the hours the UMARF is not maintained with routine OPS staff. To coordinate with all external entities and partners connected to the Operational Systems for planned and contingency operations. To perform regular activations of the Backup Control Centres. To coordinate with the responsible personnel for any scheduling required. All applicants must have a good background in a scientific or technical role at a fairly senior level. Good IT skills are essential and experience of realtime systems, the application of procedures and operational environments is essential. A strong working knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written, is essential. French andor German would be considered to be advantageous.
