1. JOB PURPOSE ROLE The role is responsible for formulating and developing the marketing and business development strategy in line with the overall strategy of QSC. The role involves identifying, assessing and pursuing potential long term business expansion plans and markets. The role also develops and execute the operational marketing plan for QSC in order to ensure right placement of QSCs services products amongst target customers. 2. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Description Key Performance Indicators Strategy Formulation Responsible for developing a comprehensive overall strategy for marketing and business development for QSC and ensures the strategy conforms to desired standards of quality in line with QSCs corporate guidelines. Identifies and cultivates relationships with potential partners in order to pursue potential business expansion initiatives while also sharing the risk with and acquiring expertise from the major Qatari stakeholders. Coordinates the Marketing strategy and business planning exercise. This involves facilitating the process and ensuring that the long and short term Marketing plans are developed. Develop Sales Promotions analysis and plans. Package EshailSat offering into Packages and Services. Timely formulation of Marketing and in line with corporate objectives Adequate and effective facilitation of the strategic planning process. Timely formulation and implementation of strategic objectives and performance measures. completion of implementation of objectives. Number of new business initiatives incubated Market Needs and Requirements Understands the Market requirements and specifications and ensure that these requirements are being reflected on the satellite design and capabilities through continuous coordination and communication with both the technical and sales teams within QSC, Ensures commercialbased solutions reflect the market needs and are seamlessly integrated into the design and capabilities of the final product and clients expectations Increased awareness and understanding of QSC and its projects in key target markets. Quality of guidelines, support, and advice provided. Develops and implements Marketing Plans Develop and implement Marketing Plans which optimize profitability and growth opportunities based on the best analytical support including market projections and growth opportunities Tailor the plansto suit various markets and customers being targeted by QSC Profitability and Growth Customer Satisfaction feedback through surveys conducted by QSC Market Research Leads analyses of competitors offerings in the marketplace and ensures market intelligence to keep track of the market. Ensures optimal market positioning in terms of competition and differentiation, by using the right marketing channels Stays abreast of global trends and identify opportunities accordingly Studies the market to analyse new markets or the competitors offerings in the marketplace and develops a deferential advantage and recommend changes to maintain competitive edge of QSC. Provides reports to build QSCs brand, and deploys market research to define market strategy and identify opportunities for new business. Ensures that the market information is continuously gathered and updated, so as to keep abreast of the market changes and trends, in order to identify potential and innovative products as well as unique investment opportunities. Lead the identification and evaluation of potential new business opportunities with government and nongovernment entities and assess future revenue streams Customer response to QSC offerings Quality of market intelligence gathered through market research. Achievement of desired brand positioning in the market. Market intelligence is captured and communicated. Timely development of business planning guidelines. Adequacy of tools, templates and guidelines. Potential business partners identified for new business initiatives. Management Reports Consolidate accurate Management reports to provide timely feedback to Management for monitoring the progress and effectiveness of Marketing BD Initiatives and strategy depicting KPI progress. Update the Senior Management, other department and divisions directors through periodical meetings on the progress of the marketing BD in order to enhance QSCs market recognition and growth. Clear reporting on project approach and project outcomes linked to the agreedupon project objectives. Adequate reporting and project performance management systems are in place to monitor progress. Accurate and effective reporting of performance. Effective recommendations. Continuous Improvement Provide inputs and suggestions for the continuous improvement of commercial practice, marketing and business development initiatives taking into account best practice, changes in international standards and changes in the business environment which demand proactive action plans. Contribute to new marketing concepts and ideas to launch new offerings that meet unsatisfied demands in line with QSCs growth plans. Based on feedback received or analysis of trends and preferences of clients, provide inputs for review of marketing initiatives in order to improve customer satisfaction. Number and quality of improvements are in line with corporate expectations and implemented. People Management Create a teamoriented professional culture and establish processes and procedures that echo company values and customer requirements. Ensures adequate staffing for the division. This involves selection and training of a cross functional project team, delegation of duties and responsibilities and formulating project plans, work procedures and methods. Supervises the work of the staff members in the department and provides leadership and guidance. Ensures training of staff members takes up judicious allocation of responsibility and monitors their performance. Individual objectives, training and development plans in place for all direct reports within the defined timescales. Development framework in place and implemented.
