Airtel sells stake in DTH unit to Warburg Pincus for USD 350 million

(Telecompaper) Bharti Airtel announced that an affiliate of private equity firm Warburg Pincus will acquire a stake of up to 20 percent in Bharti Telemedia, the DTH arm of Airtel. The acquisition price reaches around USD 350 million. Of this, a 15 percent stake will be sold by Bharti Airtel and the balance by another Bharti entity which holds 5 percent.
3M sells Communications division to Corning for USD 900 mln

(Telecompaper) 3M is exiting the telecom networks market and selling substantially all of its Communication Markets division to Corning for USD 900 million. The business includes optical fibre and copper passive connectivity products, including 3M's xDSL, FTTx, and structured cabling products and, in certain countries, telecommunications system integration services. The business has annual global sales of around USD 400 million.

Marvell confirms Cavium takeover for USD 6 billion
