We are currently looking for an engineer to fill a position as Network Engineer Galileo Control Center Start date As soon as possible ideally 1st of July 2015 Location Galileo Control Center in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich Requirements Engineering or network technician degree or equivalent qualification Experience in networks Experience in realtime operational environments and high availability systems Knowledge of the Galileo system and project advantageous Good teamworking and communication skills Fluency in written and spoken English German would be an asset The general scope of duties will include the following tasks Supervision of project and hosting networks at the Galileo Control Center GCC Monitoring of networks and external communication interfaces Configuration management of GCC network systems router, switches, firewall, VPNs Execution of system software tests incl. interface testing Maintenance and monitoring of the firewalls Maintenance of ESA furnished network items incl. 1st level support oncall support Execution of daily checks of the operational network systems Generation and validation of network support procedures Execution of periodical backups and antivirus checks of the operational network systems Support to analysis, planning and realisation of hardware and software changes and upgrades in the operational environment of Galileo Planning and implementation of new network solutions within the GCC Active coordination of network matters with Clients and other Galileo partners Support to analysis, identification and solution of network issues Support to generation of project documentation and commercial offers Setup and administration of groups and user accounts Training of users and new staff Presentation of work to external parties as part of a multinational team Provision of oncall support Please send your application, your up to date CV and your salary requirements to INSYEN AG Attn. Ground Segment Network Engineer

RHEA is currently recruiting a Ground Segment Network Engineer to support the ERASMUS Support Facility ESF at our clients premises in Noordwijk, The Netherlands. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include To improve the maintenance and troubleshooting of ESF capabilities, in relation with relevant external procurements organizations. Plan, coordinate and validate the necessary ground implementations between ground users and the onboard LAN. Coordinate security implementations, audits and risk assessments in relation with the Security Control Board. Produce and update at regular intervals an ESF CIDL. Produce an evolution plan and relevant ECRs to adapt and ensure continuity and availability of the ESF. Be responsible for definition IP addressing schemes and IP stack configuration definitions for users of Class3 PLs ground and board. Produce validations plans and validation reports for the Class3 PL users ground implementations. This is a permanent position, calling for someone with a relevant Cisco certification and at least five years experience of this role. You will be placed on assignment based near Frankfurt in Germany for several years. Candidates should ideally be available to start in May but an earlier start may be possible. Our client is responsible for establishing and operating weather forecasting and Earth observation satellite programmes with associated data telemetry and dissemination operations. Vast quantities of data are produced and user communities throughout the world are able to access both current and historical data sets.
