Software Quality Assurance Engineer

We are currently looking for a Software QA Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Software Quality Assurance Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will have the following responsibilities Product Assurance Management Defining the quality requirements for the project, based on the customer requirements Providing the interface to the customer regarding quality issues Planning the PA activities, establishing and maintaining the PA plan andor PA specification overall project phases Coordinating the activities of the different PA disciplines within a project EEE, Hardware QA, PMP, Quality Inspection, RAMS, Software PA Reporting the quality status to the project team, the customer, and the internal quality organisation Handling of nonconformances, chairing the nonconformance review board Supporting proposal activities Performing project management practice evaluations, also in support to company process definition and improvement Supporting improvement of the quality management system, including cooperation with other quality departments within company. Software Product Assurance Supporting the project in selecting an adequate project life cycle Supporting the tailoring of software standards to the criticality and needs of the project Establishing and maintaining the SW PA plan, ensuring that the PA plan is adequate for the selected project life cycle Supporting project activities over all phases of the life cycle, as defined in the SW PA plan, including risk management supplier selection and control and procurement verification and validation assuring that project processes are in line with BMS, are documented, and that these processes are actually implemented in the project. Process Management Training and coaching of projects regarding agile techniques, such as Scrum Supporting projects as Scrum Master Supporting CMMI Level 2 and 3 recertification and the Software Engineering Process Group SEPG Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience A University Degree in computer science informatics, aerospace technology, or another engineering discipline Expertise in software engineering and quality assurance techniques and tools Longterm experience as an engineer Team oriented, flexible and autonomous working behaviour Expertise in space standards and other standards in particular ECSS, EN 9100, CMMI Practical Scrum experience, preferably as Scrum Master Willingness to work outside of the area of profession in other technical domains Audit experience Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of German or French is an advantage. Image Quality Assessment Engineer

PROFILE The Engineer shall have a University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline. The Engineer shall have Extensive theoretical knowledge of Level 1 data processing algorithms for image navigation, registration and calibration and the techniques used for assessing the geometric and radiometric quality of Level 1 image products A minimum of 3 years experience in specifying, prototyping, verifying and validating Level 1 data processing algorithms A minimum of 3 years experience in the processing and analysis of data from imaging andor sounding instruments on remote sensing spacecraft Significant experience of validating remote sensing products and complex remote sensing data processing systems. In addition, the Engineer shall have practical, demonstrable experience inwith Software engineering, in particular in algorithm software development, in a Unix environment using CC, and ideally also Python and MatlabIDL Implementation of scientific algorithms from a given specification.
