You will join the FV, Eng Ops Products, Space Physics Fr department and will strengthen our Operations Products group. The Operations Products group develops software products for space systems operations telecommunications, Earth observation, etc. Our solutions, used at different stages in the space system lifecycle design and operation validation are at the core of numerous function processes, implementing stateoftheart software development. Passionate about software development, you will join a team on the cutting edge of development methods Agile and focused on creating products intended to improve the user productivity and the efficiency of function processes. First, due to your expertise on object technologies java, Eclipse RCP, UML, Javascript, etc. and successful initial experience developing an industrial software, you will take part in a solution for operating satellites from control or mission centres, for Airbus teams or external customers. You will then develop towards being responsible for one or several products and business management. You will analyse the customers need and define and perform revisions while accompanying their deployment in France and in Germany. You will define the roadmap for your products, drive its implementation, ensure technical mastery and steer the development team. You will also advance the teams privileged position at the core of numerous processes. These products are part of a software suite which requires technical, architectural, functional and ergonomical coherency. In particular it is made up of MOSAIC automation of satellite or ground segment operations, TELMASOLEA telemeasuring analysis, DALI intersite alignment in real and nonreal time, SYSTEMA Space Engineering and FOST satellite database. These products are used by the Space Systems internal customers and sold internationally. This position will require a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognised authorities. Your main task and responsibilities will include Learning all the customer functions activities, processes, interfaces, etc., Technically analysing the new functions requiredcorrecting faults, Being responsible for specification, architecture, coding and validating upgrades, Preparing financial and technical proposals for the customer, Performing technical and operational documentation, Deploying the products, Performing training and providing customer support, Managing an additional development team if necessary, Fulfilling quality assurance plan requirements, Performing a technology watch, Reporting to the customer and management. Your Tasks Include The key person shall be integrated into the Sentinel3 Spacecraft Operations Team, led by the Copernicus Sentinel3 Spacecraft Operations Manager, within the Flight Operations Division of the Operations and User Services Department. The tasks of the key person will be carried out at Client facilities in Darmstadt but occasional travel within Europe may be necessary. The key person shall be primarily assigned to Satellite 3 system operations preparation and support to 3A routine when handed over from ESOC to EUMETSAT, covering all satellite and system FOSPDGS components aspects related to operations engineering for the platform, payload and instrument data handling, instrument parameter and OBSW maintenance, as well as FDIR and OPS security aspects for the management of encryption and authentication functions. Eventually, each position should be able to ensure the backup of any of the 3 positions, to ensure routine operations and the first recovery actions. The key person shall also participate in coordinating the satellite operations activities of other team members and external teams responsible for onboard software management, simulator support, mission control, mission planning, flight dynamics and ground stations. Furthermore, the key person shall support system and operations preparation activities for Sentinel3B and for the recurrent mission with respect to their related activities.
