In the role of support to the development of new GEO and LEO programmes, the tasks of the Key person shall include Participate to the definition of the system architecture and interfaces between the multimission elements and the programme specific elements of the ground system In coordination with the system and interface engineers of the future ground segment, ensure that the definition and documentation of new interfaces are compatible with the methodology used in Operations this includes the use of common templates for Interface Control Document and the use of the same tool for maintaining the interfaces data dictionary Provide support to the definition of the IVV approach for the future ground systems Promote the implementation of the TSS working practices regarding system maintainability and evolutions. Your Profile In addition to having a University degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline, the Key person shall have at least three years experience in the following areas Development and maintenance of complex operational ground systems, preferably for remote sensing spacecraft with large reuse of existing generic infrastructure and functional elements System and Interfaces Engineering AIT experience for the development of major upgrades new ground systems in a 247 operational environment Interfaces requirements definition, engineering and test, including the generation and maintenance of Interface Control Documents, with support of tools In addition, for the accomplishment of the listed tasks, proven knowledge and experience in the following of at least two of the following areas Satellite monitoring and control systems Data processing Dissemination Archive systems Ground Stations It would be a distinct advantage for the key person to have knowledge andor experience with some of the following Full development cycle of large systems, from the definition of requirements to system design and testing System requirements management and functionalarchitectural modelling, with support of tools e.g. DOORS System architectural design experience in the use of modelling and design tools in support of it will be considered an advantage e.g. Enterprise Architect Configuration Control processes and tools. Your Tasks The Key Person will support the RSO division but shall initially provide support to the PRD department for the development and operations preparation of the MTG Programme focussing on system and ground station aspects, ensuring they are brought to a suitable level for the transition of the programme into routine operations. The role comprises a range of tasks across a number of different departments so the key Person will need a broad knowledge of operational ground segments and how the ground stations fit into the general scheme. The key Person shall also support the routine operations of the existing MTP, MSG and EPS ground stations, as well as their future evolutions. The Key Persons main duties will include the support to System and Ground segment operations preparation activities Ground segment procurements for the future programmes including acceptance and validation phase Review documentation and attend formal reviews as part of the procurement process Supporting and witnessing IVV testing for future programmes Definition and maintenance of operations procedures, including system and ground segment procedures and operations guides Liaison with the spacecraft operations team to ensure the continuity and optimisation of spacecraft monitoring and control activities Day to day operations of current and future ground stations including daytoday planning, monitoring and first line anomaly investigations Processing and coordination of system and ground segment anomalies in particular but not limited to ground stations, their documentation, investigation, classification and resolutionmitigation, including participation in Anomaly Review Boards Analysis of ground station obsolescence, and upgrade paths within a 247 operations environment Participation in technical meetings, formal reviews, and scheduling and planning meetings Provision of training, through written materials, practical demonstrations and presentations, to other members of the Operations and Engineering Teams.
