000 ABPZ20 KNHC 290506 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 1100 PM PDT Tue May 28 2019 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: A weak area of low pressure is located over the far eastern Pacific less than 100 miles southwest of the Nicaragua-Honduras border. This broad disturbance continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms over portions of Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and the adjacent Pacific waters. The system is expected to move inland over Central America on Wednesday, and formation of a tropical cyclone is not expected. However, locally heavy rainfall is likely to continue over portions of Central America and southern Mexico during the next several days. These rains could cause flash flooding and mudslides in areas of mountainous terrain. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...near 0 percent. A large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms located a few hundred miles south of the coast of southern Mexico is associated with a trough of low pressure.
