Issued at 500 PM AST SUN SEP 06 2015 000 WTNT41 KNHC 062039 TCDAT1 REMNANTS OF FRED DISCUSSION NUMBER 32 NWS NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER MIAMI FL AL062015 500 PM AST SUN SEP 06 2015 High-resolution visible satellite imagery indicates that the low-level circulation had become elongated and ill-defined. This is further reinforced by a 37 GHz GCOM microwave image showing that the system lacks a well-defined center. Therefore, Fred is no longer a tropical cyclone and advisories are being discontinued. The disturbance should continue on a general north-northeastward heading until it completely loses its identity in a day or so. Additional information on this system can be found in High Seas Forecasts issued by the National Weather Service...under AWIPS header NFDHSFAT1 and WMO header FZNT01 KWBC.
