DISCUSSION AND OUTLOOK ---------------------- At 900 PM MDT (0300 UTC), the center of Tropical Storm Kiko was located near latitude 16.6 North, longitude 112.7 West. Kiko is moving toward the west-northwest near 10 mph (17 km/h). A westward to west-northwestward motion at a similar forward speed is expected for the next several days. Maximum sustained winds are near 40 mph (65 km/h) with higher gusts. Strengthening is anticipated, and Kiko is forecast to become a hurricane over the weekend. Tropical-storm-force winds extend outward up to 90 miles (150 km) from the center. The estimated minimum central pressure is 1004 mb (29.65 inches).
