000 ABNT20 KNHC 231732 TWOAT Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 200 PM EDT Mon Sep 23 2019 For the North Atlantic...Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Jerry, located several hundred miles southwest of Bermuda, on Tropical Storm Karen, located over the eastern Caribbean Sea, and recently upgraded Tropical Storm Lorenzo located several hundred miles south of the Cabo Verde Islands. A broad and elongated area of low pressure is located near the northeast tip of the Yucatan peninsula. This system is currently producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms over the southeast Gulf of Mexico. Satellite images indicate that showers and thunderstorms continue to become better organized in association with a low pressure system located over the far eastern Atlantic a few hundred miles southeast of the Cabo Verde Islands. Continued development of this system is forecast, and a tropical depression or tropical storm is expected to form tonight or on Monday while the disturbance moves generally westward over the eastern tropical Atlantic at 15 to 20 mph. Interests in the Cabo Verde Islands should monitor the progress of this disturbance. Satellite imagery indicates that a broad area of low pressure has formed in association with a strong tropical wave over the far eastern Atlantic. The associated thunderstorm activity continues to show signs of organization, and a tropical depression or tropical storm is expected to form later today or tonight while the system moves generally westward over the eastern tropical Atlantic at 15 to 20 mph. Interests in the Cabo Verde Islands should monitor the progress of this disturbance.
