Senior Engineer, Messaging Collaboration Luxembourg Betzdorf ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY The position is directly responsible for the management, operations and development of applications and IT infrastructure solutions within SES the group and affiliated companies, as well as for IT project support within the organization and customer related projects with a focus on applications dedicated to Messaging Collaboration. The incumbent will execute projects, support and maintenance within the Business Applications delivery field by ensuring timely task and project implementation. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Install, configure, test and support application software, cloud environments and system management tools Define and implement work packages to support and maintain the Business Applications system architecture hardware installation, networks, software deployment, client rollout, Install, maintain, monitor and document operating systems, application software and system management tools Operate and support the system and applications monitoring environment and monitoring applications Implement continuous improvement and automation enablement of the IT onpremises and offpremises environments Take on responsibility for timely implementation for assigned projects and activities Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers, network, security and other appropriate stakeholders to implement potential fixes or improve features or performance interact positively with IT and business stakeholders Define and document tasks to ensure the Business Applications operation on the work level including tasks like failover switch and BCP support, client rollout, bug fix deployment, server upgrades, new applications rollout, features enablement Document environments and procedures Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability Deliver 2nd Level oncall support to assist the SES teams on application or system issues including outside office hours Take ownership of resolving assigned tasks and problems Execute work related tasks closely collaborating with other team members wherever necessary Provide input to the Senior Manager, Business Application for administrative and management tasks Ensure that all systems selected or developed comply with prevailing IT Architectural Standards including but not limited to security standards and Information Security policies Manage and measure the support for applications during and after implementation including the resolution of all problems associated with their successful operation Evaluate application opportunities and threats by new trends and developments in and outside of SES Mentor junior team members Stay uptodate with stateoftheart concepts and technologies, and use this knowledge to analyse and maintain systems COMPETENCIES Excellent team player with the ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organisation Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise, meet goals and provide results Proven project management skills to take the lead on smaller change projects Effective analytical abilities High level of integrity and work ethic Ability to work internationally in a matrixmanaged, resultsoriented environment Ability to work effectively under pressure without compromising professional standards Excellent communication and presentation skills Selfmotivated and demonstrate doer mentality Ability to clearly explain complex technical issues to nontechnical people QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCE Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology Minimum eight years of applicable professional experience Sound technical understanding of the IT landscape and related technical skills as well as its business applications Office 365 Azure AD AD Connect, ADFS Exchange Online Skype for Business online MS Sharepoint online OneDrive for Business MS Teams, MS Groups MS PowerBI MS o365 E5 Compliance and security features Azure Information Protection, Cloud Security, DLP Enterprise Mobility Management MS inTune, VMWare Airwatch Workspace One, MDMMAM General Windows landscape MS Windows Servers, MS SQL, MS IIS MS PowerShell BackupRestore Fluency in English, any other language is considered as an asset Willingness to travel internationally OTHER KEY REQUIREMENTS COMMENTS Key performance indicator Measure deliverables on time, budget and spec 247 Applications availability Measurement of level 23 application service desk requests Main interfaces to other departments Business representatives to define business needs Demand Management to ensure new projects are addressed Work with Service Delivery to get appropriate infrastructure support for application Whats in it for you?
