Take advantage of this new opportunity for a Configuration Management Tool Service Support Engineer to assist with activities such as the planning, development and installation of Configuration Management database systems. Thorn SDS is an AUG registered business with a local bilingual English German support team in Darmstadt. We specialise in the supply of staff and services into the space and security sectors and are particularly interested in speaking to existing contractors at EUMETSAT that may be searching for a cost effective employment partner. All candidates shall have practical experience of Serena Dimensions CM administration installation from scratch, release, upgrade, endtoend lifecycle definition and implementation, product breakdown structure minimum of 5 years SQL programming on Oracle or Sybase databases minimum of 2 years SW development in vb.net minimum of 2 years SW development environment Visual Studio minimum of 2 years Configuration Management standards such as CMMI, ISO or ESA ECSS is mandatory Basic experience of database administration is essential and practical experience with source code control tools e.g. CVS or Subversion would be considered to be desirable. All applicants require a University degree in Computer Science along with a minimum of 5 years experience in a Configuration Management related role including build, deployment and installation process in large softwareintensive high availability operational systems. Candidates must have good communication skills along with the ability to prioritise workload and perform under pressure. The working language for this position is English, knowledge of German and French would be considered advantageous.
