The Key Person, i.e. the EPS System Support Engineer, will be involved in the following activity within the EPS project team participating in the Single Space Segment Team SSST for the preparation of the MetopC spacecraft, including the provision of EUMETSATsupplied instruments managing, with the support of the Operations and Services to Users Department OPS and Technical Services and Scientific Support Department TSS, the preparation of the EPS Ground Segment for the launch of MetopC, including the concurrent operation of three Metop satellites managing, with the support of OPS and TSS, the verification and validation of the EPS System before and after the launch of MetopC, including the concurrent operation of three Metop satellites managing, with the support of OPS, the operations preparation activities for the launch of MetopC, including the concurrent operation of three Metop satellites supporting routine operations of existing operational Metop satellites. PROFILE work as part of a closeknit team, is required to have the experience and capability to fulfil the assigned tasks with the minimum of supervision and minimum training. In addition to a university degree in a relevant technical discipline such as engineering or physics the Key Person shall have a background including the following mandatory skills and experience at least three years experience in the execution of integration, verification and validation IVV of spacecraft systems andor their operational ground segment, including o the preparation of system andor ground segment verification and validation plan and specification documentation, and VV test cases o tracing of system requirements through to analyses andor executed VV testing at least two years experience in the operations or operations preparation of an operational ground segment. In addition, it would be a distinct advantage for the Key Person to have experience of the following demonstrable experience in the application of configuration management and quality assurance principles to space systems andor their operational ground segments demonstrable experience in spacecraft and or ground operations preparation activities demonstrable experience in the coordination of test activities involving collaborations with internal andor external partners The official languages of EUMETSAT are English and French.
