Flight Dynamics System Software Engineer

We are currently looking for a Flight Dynamics System Software Engineer to support our customer in Germany. Flight Dynamics System Software Engineer Key Tasks and Responsibilities As part of the Mission Control Applications and Tools Team you will have the following responsibilities Participate in the functional analysis and decomposition of the Ground Segment requirements Support the definition of Ground Segment requirements Liase with Operations to consolidate the operational requirements Support the identification of the verification method and requirements initial test cases Incorporate the reuse of Flight Dynamics System kernel products Interface with the Flight Dynamics System kernel product experts Support the generation of the architectural system level design Support the production of design models Support the definition and documentation of all Flight Dynamics System interfaces IRDsICDs Support to the requirement and design engineering activities as part of the applications development Participation and contribution in requirements, design and implementation reviews Participation in verification readiness reviews and verification testing campaigns Support reengineering activities as well as evolutions and changes Support the preventive and corrective maintenance and maintain test procedures Support and development of the verification infrastructure Coordination of the production of new software releases or patches, delivery acceptance and installation onsite Execution and coordination of software verification and nonregression testing campaigns. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in an engineering discipline Several years experience in specification, design, implementation, verification and maintenance of Flight Dynamics Systems Experience in Flight Dynamics requirements elicitation Experience in the definition of software requirements, architectural design, implementation andor customisation of Satellite Flight Dynamics Systems in the context of LEO missions Experience in the full cycle of development and maintenance of application software Experience in IVV integration, verification and validation for Flight Dynamics Systems Working knowledge of NAPEOS, Orekit, MICONYS would be an asset Experience in integration with Mission Planning Systems and support to operations for Satellite Flight Dynamics Systems would be an asset Working knowledge of FORTRAN, Java, IBM DOORS, Sparx, Linux, RDBMS, UML, XML, Eclipse would be an asset Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. Diverted flight passengers slept in barracks

A London-bound United Airlines flight from Chicago made an unexpected stop Friday night, providing some passengers with the layover from hell. According to data from the website FlightAware.com, United 958 pulled a U-turn about three hours into the 7.5 hour flight moments after it began to cross the Atlantic Ocean beyond eastern edges of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.

United Airlines passengers spend night in Labrador after London flight diverted

Passengers on a London-bound United Airlines flight had an unexpected overnight stay at a military barracks in Labrador after their flight was diverted Friday night. Goose Bay airport manager Goronwy Price says the flight from Chicago landed late Friday with roughly 200 people on board after it had to turn back while flying across the Atlantic Ocean.
