Exports of cotton yarns have dramatically declined in the second quarter of 2019, being halved overall and plunging by more than 80% to China. The spun yarn market remains very depressed in China, where demand is still at a low level from weavers and knit clothing producers. 100% PSF yarn prices have sharply dropped in the last seven days, in line with a significant fall of polyester staple fiber prices. Our weekly report covers the China yarn domestic and import market indicators, as well as local market prices in Qianqing (Zhejiang). Prices of a large number of counts are released for spun cotton, polyester, viscose, and blends. Import prices are also available for cotton yarns. Domestic and import yarn prices are compared.
