Masmovil confirms FY20 and FY21 guidance, bidders secure EUR 2 bln loan

(Telecompaper) Spanish telecommunications provider Masmovil, the country's fourth largest network operator, has reiterated its full-year guidance for 2020 and 2021, taking into account the impact of the coronavirus epidemic on its business. In a filing with securities market regulator CNMV, the operator said it expected to achieve an adjusted EBITDA of EUR 570-600 million this year, with a margin of 30-32 percent, rising to EUR 670-700 million, with a margin of 32-34 percent in 2021.

Naspers FY revenue rises 23% to USD 22.1 bln

The company, which employs 1,000 people, is developing an electric self-driving vehicle.

TIM sells Inwit stakes to Ardian and Canson for EUR 1.6 bln

(Telecompaper) Telecom Italia (TIM) has announced the sale of direct and indirect stakes in mobile towers group Inwit to a consortium led by French private equity firm Ardian, confirming earlier reports. Under the deal, TIM said the Ardian consortium is acquiring 49 percent of a newly-formed holding company where it plans to transfer a 30.2 percent Inwit stake. TIM has also agreed to sell an up to 3 percent direct Inwit stake to a vehicle managed by Canson Capital Partners, meaning the operator will cash in a total of EUR 1.6 billion from the transactions.
Telkom Group FY revenue up 3% to ZAR 43 bln

(Telecompaper) South Africa's Telkom Group revenue said its revenue grew 3 percent to ZAR 43.0 billion in the year to end March, with expansion in the mobile market helping to offset a 22 percent decline in fixed voice revenue. The group reported a 66.4 percent decline in headline earnings per share to ZAR 2.08 per share. Basic earnings per share decreased by 78.4 percent to ZAR 1.21, impacted by one-time costs for voluntary severance and early retirement packages, Covid-19, and a higher effective tax rate.
