Summary An experienced Data Scientist is required to spearhead development of the machine and deep learning activities within the Geo Information group. Objective You will lead the scientific development of new products and applications that use statistics, analytics, machine learning, forecasting and optimization to enhance efficiency and performance. Strong computer literacy skills, including coding experience in Python Experience with machine and deep learning, particularly the development and optimisation of neural networks Essential Skills Inventiveness and problem solving skills Experience of deploying machine learning applications to local and cloud infrastructures Experience of using statistical or data analytics techniques Interest in, and enthusiasm for, climate, environment or Earth observation science Experience in applying data science techniques to spatial, andor Earth observation datasets Desirable Skills Experience in applying data science techniques to SAR data Understanding of sound data management and adhering to corporate standards Computing experience of the Linux operating system Qualities Desire to be a team player capable of working with staff at all levels, alongside the ability to work independently Selfstarter and effective time management, with particular skills in multitasking Good communication skills, both written and oral Commercial awareness

About Neuraspace and the Role Neuraspace is the first and only company to use AIML to combat space collisions by tracking and monitoring satellites in order to intercept critical conjunction data messages CDMs. We are building the next generation of Satellite Collision Avoidance products powered by AI Machine Learning. Within the first six months of effort we ended up winning two ESA contracts to build the next generation of the Collision Risk Estimation and Avoidance Maneuver CREAM . We are seeking someone experienced with the space environment to help develop machine learning models. Responsibilities Understanding the data which our clients provide to us Cleaning that data and validating that it is correct Preprocessing the data, usually by using a mixture of shell scripts and a programming language such as Python. Iteratively computing features and tuning parameters to improve the quality of the model Communicating your findings to the project manager and assisting himher in decision making on the Data Science part of the project Work together with key stakeholders data scientists, engineers, risk managers from our clients Work with other parts of the organization Product, Research, etc. to improve processes, best practices and tooling. Position Agricultural Data Scientist The Data Scientist will be responsible for developing and improving algorithms to identify water stress in farm crops based on remote sensing data. The successful applicant will develop commercial products for farm irrigation management, become an integral member of Hydrosats technical team, and will work in collaboration with partner organizations in Luxembourg. The ideal candidate will be familiar with the biophysical processes determining the relationship between plants, soil, water, and atmosphere. She or he will also be comfortable in using and applying space imagery to agricultural analysis. The Data Scientist will coordinate and advise on farm field experiments use field data and remote sensing platforms to develop evidencebased models of water stress in plants propose and test algorithms for irrigation management on farm level identify and overcome the issues when upscaling these algorithms to different climatic conditions and plant species. Education Minimum requirement Bachelors degree in Agricultural or Environmental Sciences, Remote Sensing, or a related field special consideration given for advanced degrees MastersPhD Must have at least 2 years of relevant work experience in a researchfocused role.
