Assistant Project Controller Key Tasks and Responsibilities Working within the Directorate of Earth Observation Programmes, you will have the following responsibilities Provide support in financial administration as well as assistance on financial and programmatic reporting on departmental andor project level Planning and monitoring of the workload and workforce Monitoring of assigned contracts with respect to cost, payments, contract changes deviations and trends Liaison with procurement and suppliers Checking of commitments for consistency with budgets and ESAs procedures Administration of purchase orders and other internal procurement processes Assist in the tracking of geographical return data Support the project controllers in maintaining financial or procurement databases. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience University degree in FinanceAccounting Several years of experience in project control Highly proficient in modern planning and project control tools, budgets, office automation software and databases Excellent planning and organisation skills and attention to detail Good communication skills Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team Previous working experience at ESA would be an asset Fluency in English is mandatory knowledge of another European language is an advantage. This job is located in Noordwijk. This is a temporary position for approximately 9 months up to end of December 2014.
