(Telecompaper) The Telecompaper European Telecoms Services index was down 0.3 percent in week 45, versus a gain of 2.1 percent for the EuroStoxx 50 index. The week was heavy with earnings reports, with some M&A news. Tele Columbus was the best stock to own last week, up 15 percent. At a closing price of EUR 2.45 it has come off considerably from its low of EUR 1.29 in early June. BT's loss of 8.0 percent put it among the week's worst losers. The company stands to lose Virgin Mobile as an MVNO customer from 2021.

Gamma Communications was the biggest winner (+9.2%), MasMovil the biggest loser (-7.8%). The news of Digital Realty acquiring InterXion stood out, amid a long list of earnings reports.

SK Telecom to power Now Telecom's 5G deployment in Philippines

(Telecompaper) Now Corporation and its Philippines telecom unit Now Telecom have signed a partnership deal with South Korean operator SK Telecom. Under the terms of the deal, SK Telecom will support Now Telecom's 5G rollout on the local market.

The Telecompaper European Telecoms Services index ended week 43 down 0.7 percent, versus a 1.3 percent gain for the EuroStoxx 50 index. Tele Columbus was the biggest winner on news of attracting a new large shareholder.
