We are looking for a Senior Engineer to lead our Rocket Systems Design. This role will lead work on design, development, integration and test of the suborbital rocket vehicle as a member of an Integrated Product Team IPT and will eventually work on orbital vehicle design and integration. The successful candidate should have Over 10 years of experience in designing, developing, integrating and testing systems on flight vehicles. Successfully developed design of either avionics, flight control systems andor software architecture. Senior Engineer, Systems Engineering 2 years contract ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY This project related position will support the definition, design, development, testing and delivery of the Galileo Data Dissemination Network GDDN as well as the Public Communications Systems PSC project. In this project the incumbent will focus on defining customer needs and required functionality early in the development cycle, documenting requirements, and then proceeding with design synthesis and system validation, while considering the complete problem operations, cost and schedule, performance, training and support, test, manufacturing, and disposal. He She could also contribute to or lead other projects related to the development, implementation, and improvement of ground based services and systems. In addition, the incumbent takes an active role in the preparation of technical proposals in response to international tenders. The GDDN interconnects the two Galileo Control Centres in Italy and Germany to an extensive network of sensor stations, uplink stations and Telemetry, Tracking and Control TTC stations distributed around the world. The GDDN also provides the connectivity to the Galileo satellite test and launch facilities, security monitoring centres, network management facilities and external entities. The Public Communications Systems PSC is a satelliteterrestrial hybrid communications infrastructure for emergency communications and critical infrastructure protection, to be deployed primarily in the public and private sector in Luxembourg.
