Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include Coordinate Calibration and Maintenance of all RF equipment in the Lab. Coordinate transport of all incoming and outgoing equipment in the Lab. Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory Be a qualified technician in RF, microwave and millimetre wave engineering or shall have a sufficient record of experience in microwave laboratories. Be familiar with the utilization of general RF equipment such as network analysers, spectrum analysers, power meters etc. Good working knowledge of GNSS Payloads and operation of its associated EGSE. Knowledge of characterising passive and active RF hardware in scattering parameters and over time domain TRL. Be dependable, reliable and be proactive in decision making and task execution. Overview The post holder will mainly perform andor assist the ESAESTEC Mechanical Engineer in the following activities Reviewing, coordinating and monitoring all activities related to the construction, renovation or modification of mechanical installations Ensuring the mechanical installations compliance to the applicable norms and legislations performed by the site contractor Assisting the ESTEC Project Managers in the multidisciplinary projects where works on mechanical installations are involved Assisting Site Acceptance Tests after construction, renovation or modification of mechanical installations Preparing technical work descriptions for small and medium projects related to mechanical installations on site Controlling, monitoring and reviewing by means of key performance indicators the execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities which are outsourced to an external company on ESTEC mechanical installations Implementation and maintenance of service and quality assurance procedures Studying mechanical installations and preparing improvement plans including energy reduction proposals Liaising, closely cooperating and maintaining a sound working relationship with colleagues within the section, in or outside the department, and with the site maintenance contractor Specific qualification requirements At least a HBO degree in mechanical engineering At least 5 years experience in building infrastructure and facility management with mechanical engineering as an area of expertise A proven capability of maintenance management and engineering in the above areas of responsibility Good knowledge of the applicable norms and legislation Sound analytical skills. Be able to analyse any situation, issue or installation and create a clear and detailed technical report for root cause analysis, improvement or repair Good skills in the MS Office software package Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Visio Moreover applicants should be able to work autonomously and be eager to learn on the job and by doing training to acquire adequate knowledge in different and new areas Required languages English, both written and orally.
